About Our Team
Edison Landscaping began as Canopy Lawn Care in 2016. After many years of serving clients throughout Raleigh, the company made the decision to separate its lawn care and landscaping divisions, establishing Edison Landscaping as a dedicated landscape services company.
Chris Edison, one of the original Canopy field team members, became the namesake of the new business. In 2025, he and his family relocated out of state to pursue an amazing opportunity, and today the experienced team he helped build continues to lead and steward Edison Landscaping into the future with the same commitment to quality and service.
How We’re Structured
Property Managers
A dedicated Property Manager is assigned to each property to handle daily landscape care and quality control. They know the property, oversee routine maintenance, and serve as the primary point of contact for feedback. This is a full-time career position where we offer health insurance, retirement plans with company matching, and ongoing training, ensuring experienced, accountable property management at every site.
Supervisor Support
Property Managers are supported by supervisors who provide oversight, guidance, and quality assurance. Supervisors help with problem-solving, coordination, and maintaining service standards.
Team-Based System
Our team based system is built on shared responsibility and mutual respect. While Property Managers work independently in the field, they are supported by a connected team that values communication, professionalism, and consistency. This culture ensures standards are upheld across all properties, not in isolation.
Leadership
Andy
Senior Operations Manager
Andy is a Navy veteran and former commercial fisherman who worked in the waters of New England before beginning his career in landscaping. He has over eight years of experience in the industry, all with Canopy and Edison Landscaping. Today, Andy oversees the project installation division and works closely with territory managers to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Norm
Territory Manager for South Raleigh, Apex, and Cary
Norm brings over a decade of landscaping experience to the team, including eight years with Canopy and Edison Landscaping. A Georgia native, he is known for his steady leadership and deep industry knowledge. Outside of work, Norm enjoys endurance running and has completed challenges ranging from marathons to the Krispy Kreme Challenge and even the Empire State Building Run-Up.
Nick
General Manager
Nick is an Army veteran who came to Edison Landscaping following graduate school and a career pivot that ultimately led him into the green industry. He oversees the overall business and works to support both the office and field teams, focusing on leadership, long-term growth, and building a strong company culture.
Skip
Operations Coordinator
Skip, a fellow Georgia native, moved to Raleigh through a church fellowship program and quickly became an integral part of the team. He leads the front office operations, supporting customers and field teams through technology systems, email communication, and phone support, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
